With the design assistance of Robbie Fuller (the force behind adidas Boost technology), the brand rolled out a new, Lillard-inspired adidas basketball shoe, simply titled the Dame 1.
All in the Details
The original Dame had many of the features you want in an athletic kick: sleek silhouette, low-profile top, secure lacing, and a whole host of unique colorways. Great for the court and great for the street, like so many favorite sneaker styles.
But the Dame collection also adds some special touches, such as rap lyrics (from the baller’s creative wheelhouse) inscribed on the insole. Combined with other personal touches, such as Lillard’s winged “O” signature and the Dame logo on the right sneaker tongue, these shoes feel like an invitation into the superstar’s world — and an inspiration to reach new heights in performance.
Viva La Evolution
Since the first launch, both Lillard and his Dames have consistently elevated the game. Like the player himself, Dame sneakers are all about forward momentum. Consider the Dame 5: A soft, suede upper combines with mesh to deliver maximum breathability during gameplay.
Midfoot and tongue cushioning promise the ultimate in comfort, while the midsole bounce tech absorbs shocks and assists with elevation. Many soles also boast a surprising flash of color underneath to keep everyone's eyes on you while you keep your eye on the goal.
The Layered Look
Building on the Dame’s explosive popularity, the Dame 6 brings a new twist to the sneaker profile. It adds more tech than any previous model, including adidas Lightstrike, an ultra-light cushioning that improves sneaker responsiveness and support.
In addition to brand-new colorways and inscriptions, the Dame 6 reinvents the sneaker upper, layering mesh and textiles to create an entirely fresh look. Get competitive in your Dames with adidas shorts and a T-shirt, or keep it casual with an adidas hoodie and sweatpants. Whether you're a seasoned star or just warming up your style game, lace up your Dames and get ready to stay fly.
